Oversees a 2-million-square-foot portfolio valued at $400 million

Helped the team lease over 1.9 million square feet since joining KBS

As KBS’ vice president of asset management, Ryan Pires is responsible for approximately two million square feet of premier commercial real estate space and Class A office and mixed-use assets in Minneapolis, Kansas City, and St. Louis, valued at roughly $400 million.

He also helps the company underwrite office, industrial, mixed-use, and joint-venture equity opportunities in the Western and Midwestern United States. Pires also manages capital budgets, rebranding efforts, building renovations, and tenant-retention programs while creating packages for KBS executives and other internal hold/sell and lease analyses.

Pires has been directly involved in leasing over 500,000 square feet of commercial real estate space within his managed portfolio. Since joining KBS five years ago, he helped the team lease over 1.9 million square feet at 23 properties nationwide. During his KBS tenure, his role has expanded significantly and includes mentoring many of the company’s younger analysts.

His previous positions included research analyst with JLL, CBRE senior consultant and associate with CrossHarbor Capital partners.

These are a few reasons we chose Ryan Pires as one of Connect CRE California’s 2024 Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a vital influence on the commercial real estate industry.
