Sabrina Lippman Expands Affordable Housing Activities through Habitat for Humanity
Sabrina Lippman, CEO of Habitat for Humanity New York City and Westchester County, leads real estate development, housing preservation, fundraising and partnerships to expand permanently affordable homeownership.
Appointed CEO in 2024, Lippman brings more than two decades of experience spanning commercial real estate, economic development, public policy and nonprofit leadership. Previously, as senior vice president of portfolio management at the New York City Economic Development Corp., she oversaw a 64-million-square-foot real estate portfolio, managed a $300-million annual revenue program and secured $375 million in public subsidies for redevelopment projects. Her commercial real estate career also includes leadership positions at Westfield, Cushman & Wakefield and Simon Property Group.
At Habitat for Humanity, Lippman helped advance ANCP Morningside, a partnership converting three formerly city-owned buildings into 36 permanently affordable cooperative homes. She has also advanced Habitat’s first new-construction homes through the Interboro Community Land Trust, including the first closing on one of 16 permanently affordable single-family homes in Queens.
Her honors include Crain’s New York Business’ 40 Under 40, Professional Women in Construction’s Top 20 Under 40, El Diario’s Mujeres Destacadas Award and recognition as a Dominican Day Parade honoree.
These are just a few reasons Sabrina Lippman is among the New York & Tri-State Connect CRE 2026 Women in Real Estate Award winners. The award honors the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
