Outpost, June Homes Merge to Create 4,000-Unit Co-Living Platform

Company:

Outpost, June Homes

New York-based coliving operator Outpost completed a merger with June Homes in November 2025, creating the largest coliving operator in the U.S. The combined company, known as OJH Holdings, will operate roughly 4,000 units across New York City, Boston, Washington, DC, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Austin. The combined entity is led by Outpost CEO Sergii Starostin, while June Homes CEO Mauricio Zuniga has become president of the new entity.

The merger brings together two companies that have taken notably different paths through a turbulent period in flexible housing, with a focus on fundamentals: strong operations, disciplined cost control and deep partnerships with landlords, Outpost and June Homes said.

“We built Outpost to be the reliable operator in a very unpredictable industry,” said Starostin. “Where others chased growth at any cost, we focused on choosing great projects, controlling expenses and treating every building owner like a long-term partner. That discipline is exactly what we saw in June Homes’ team and are excited to merge the two entities to continue growing while so many others have disappeared.”

These are some of the reasons why the Outpost/June Homes merger was selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s AB 100 Transaction of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
