Matt Rosenthal and Eric Silverman’s Eastham Capital Transacts a Deal Total of $5 Billion

Company:

Eastham Capital

Matt Rosenthal and Eric Silverman founded Eastham Capital in 2007.

Both are responsible for company operations and capital aggregation. Eastham provides institutional capital and oversight while allowing operating partners to execute business plans based on their knowledge of individual markets.

Eastham and its operating partners have purchased, renovated and/or sold approximately $5 billion of multifamily properties encompassing 38,000 apartments across 165 communities and seven funds. The firm focuses primarily on value-add opportunities in suburban Class B and C properties within stronger A and B markets.

Recent acquisitions include three Chicago-area properties totaling 947 units (with Bender Companies) and a 200-unit property (with Artisan Capital).

Rosenthal and Silverman also bring entrepreneurial experience beyond multifamily. Rosenthal previously built and sold a network of Princeton Review franchises, while Silverman founded St. James Capital and held leadership roles at RentGrow.

These are some of the reasons why Matt Rosenthal and Eric Silverman were selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s AB 100 Investor/Owner of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
