Jordan Slone Builds HGI into $21-Billion Company
In 1985, Jordan E. Slone formed Harbor Group International (HGI). Four decades later, the global real estate investment and management company works with approximately $21 billion in real estate investments.
HGI’s portfolio consists of 64,000 to 65,000 apartment units and 5 million square feet of commercial real estate.
As HGI’s chairman and CEO, Slone is involved in the firm’s investment decisions through its Executive, Investment and Alternative Investment committees. The company invests across multiple property types, including multifamily, office and retail, and has expanded beyond traditional real estate equity into debt and credit strategies.
Under Slone’s leadership, the company expanded into real estate credit, including senior mortgage bridge lending and investments in commercial real estate debt securities.
These are some of the reasons why Jordan Slone was selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s AB 100 Investor/Owner of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
