Inland Builds $5.3B Multifamily and BTR Portfolio Nationwide
Inland Residential Real Estate Services, one of Inland’s member companies, manages a multifamily portfolio totaling more than $5.3 billion in assets as of July 2026.
Since its first single-family investment in 1969, Inland’s member companies have completed more than $56 billion in acquisitions and currently manage more than $16 billion in assets.
The portfolio includes 69 properties and 17,628 units across 16 states, including 17 build-to-rent communities totaling approximately 3,500 units in Alabama, Arizona, Colorado and Florida.
The company has incorporated technology into its properties, including app-controlled and AI-powered access systems, maintaining a focus on operational efficiency and community quality.
Inland participates in organizations including the National Apartment Association, National Multifamily Housing Council and ICSC. Its Women’s Initiative Network provides employees with mentorship, professional development, networking and volunteer opportunities.
Inland also supports community organizations through fundraising, volunteer efforts and leadership, including CEO Tony Chereso’s board service with the 100 Club of Illinois.
Inland Residential has been recognized by Multi-Housing News as a Top Multifamily Property Management Firm and was named SFR/BTR Operator of the Year at the SFR Industry Awards.
