Adam Neumann Brings Flow Concept to Multifamily
Former WeWork co-founder Adam Neumann launched Flow in 2022 as a residential real estate company that connects residents with their homes and neighbors. The company combines ownership, development, property operations and technology, with a residential model built around furnished apartments, wellness amenities, communal spaces and resident programming.
The Flow portfolio consists of over 8,500 Class A residential units and more than 1 million square feet of commercial space across the U.S. and Saudi Arabia.
The company is also pursuing development opportunities, including a 16-acre Miami-area site capable of supporting more than 2,300 multifamily units, while expanding its residential platform in Saudi Arabia.
Flow’s technology and operating model are intended to make the residential experience more integrated, while its emphasis on community echoes the philosophy Neumann brought to WeWork. Andreessen Horowitz, which invested $350 million in Flow at launch, later increased its investment, citing the company’s focus on redesigning residential operations and the resident experience.
These are some of the reasons why Adam Neumann was selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s AB 100 Investor/Owner of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
