Yardi Systems Shifts Multifamily AI From Answers to Action

Company:

Yardi Systems

Yardi Systems is moving artificial intelligence beyond the chatbot and into the day-to-day workflows of multifamily operations through its Yardi Virtuoso Enterprise.

Announced in 2025 by president Akshai Rao, the enterprise AI platform incorporates specialized AI agents across leasing, resident services, maintenance and accounting. The agents are designed to perform tasks within Yardi’s existing software environment, allowing property teams to automate portions of the renter journey, analyze property inspections, process invoices and carry out accounting workflows.

For leasing teams, Yardi Chat IQ can handle tasks ranging from lead nurturing and tour scheduling to application support, payment reminders and renewal outreach. Maintenance-focused AI can analyze video walkthroughs to identify potential repairs and generate suggested work items. In accounting, Yardi Smart AP uses AI-powered optical character recognition to process invoices, while additional agents can automate approvals, audit leases and assist with month-end processes.

The platform’s developer tools add another layer to the innovation. Through Virtuoso Marketplace and Virtuoso Composer, Yardi customers can deploy prebuilt agents or create customized ones without traditional coding.

These are some of the reasons why Yardi Systems was selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s AB 100 Innovators of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
