Reframe Brings Robotics, Modular Designs to Residential Construction
Headquartered in Andover, MA and led by CEO Vikas Enti, Reframe Systems is bringing artificial intelligence, robotics and modular techniques to residential construction. Earlier this year, Reframe partnered with development firm Cabot, Cabot & Forbes (CC&F) to deploy a Reframe unit as the onsite marketing and sales office for The Bolt, a 180,000-square-foot innovation and manufacturing center under construction in Woburn, MA along the New Boston Corridor.
The 554-square-foot Reframe unit, delivered and installed onsite, served as a high-end sales and leasing hub for CC&F during The Bolt’s construction period, expected to conclude in the second quarter of 2027. Once The Bolt reaches occupancy, the Reframe unit will be repurposed as an accessory dwelling unit, giving it a second life as permanent housing.
Designed as a full-scale prototype for The Bolt, the modular unit mirrors the metal panels, window colors, and finishes of the main building, serving as a “mini-me” of the larger project, Reframe said. Its interior includes a conference room, kitchenette, bathroom and flexible office or bedroom space, allowing CC&F to test materials, workflows and finishes before scaling construction.
These are some of the reasons why Reframe Systems was selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s AB 100 Innovators of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
