Drake Property Management Scales Operations With Centralized Tech
Drake Property Management made a significant investment in technology and operating models, while growing its Ontario, Canada portfolio from 1,800 to over 6,000 suites.
Now directed by Executive Vice President, Property Management Hero Mohtadi, the company’s efforts were directed toward establishing dedicated IT and human resources departments and expanding its technical division to support a larger, dispersed portfolio.
Rather than managing maintenance independently at each property, dedicated maintenance coordinators oversee dispatch, scheduling, preventive maintenance, vendor coordination and resource allocation throughout the portfolio. This has allowed Drake to deploy resources more efficiently while maintaining consistent service standards.
The company expanded its organizational infrastructure alongside its portfolio, growing from 25 employees to more than 75 in approximately a year.
The combination of centralized operations, technology investment and organizational growth has allowed Drake to scale rapidly while maintaining consistency across its expanding portfolio.
These are some of the reasons why Drake Property Management was selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s AB 100 Innovators of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
