Connor Kerns with Matthews Boosts Multifamily Momentum Throughout the Southeast

Company:

Matthews Real Estate

As First Vice President and Associate Director at Matthews Real Estate, Connor Kerns handles the acquisition and disposition of multifamily assets throughout the Atlanta MSA and the surrounding Southeast.

In addition to advising clients and executing transactions, Kerns is a key leader within Matthews’ multifamily platform, mentoring brokers throughout the region and training interns and new hires.

In 2025, Kerns co-led the $44.75-million sale of the 189-unit Loray Mill Lofts in Gastonia, NC. The adaptive reuse project also included 75,000 square feet of commercial space.

Kerns also represented the seller in the sale of The Apex, a newly constructed 144-unit Class A community in Tifton, Georgia, and led the $17.4-million sale of a four-property student housing portfolio near Clemson University in South Carolina.

Kerns is a mentor at Matthews, providing market knowledge and transaction expertise with brokers across the Southeast. He hosts training sessions for interns and new hires, helping foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

GlobeSt. has recognized him as an Influencer in Multifamily in 2023, and he’s received the Matthews’ Chairman’s Award.

These are some of the reasons why Connor Kerns was selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s AB 100 Dealmaker of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
