As Principal and Senior Director of Avison Young’s Retail Services group, Heather Almond is responsible for the management and marketing strategy across the firm’s extensive retail portfolio.
She played a pivotal role in leading Avison Young’s 2024 corporate acquisition of Madison Marquette’s Retail Services team, adding over 6.1 million square feet of assets and significantly expanding the firm’s retail platform. She successfully integrated a 35+ person team—now expanded to 50—across property management, leasing, specialty leasing, marketing and market intelligence, while establishing new retail footprints in Seattle and Texas.
Under Almond’s leadership, the team has already secured 1.6 million square feet in new assignments, positioning Avison Young as an industry leader with a data-driven, client-focused approach that delivers measurable results and long-term growth.
She is a volunteer with the ICSC, where she has contributed her time and expertise to advancing the industry through her involvement on the Pacific Northwest and Western Division Event Committees. She also serves as an Education Ambassador for Bright Pink, raising awareness around women’s health issues and is an active member of Chief, a professional network for women executives.
Almond led teams recognized with more than 20 ICSC MAXI and Visual Victory Awards. Additionally, GlobeSt/Real Estate Forum named her an Influencer in Real Estate.
These are just a few reasons Heather Almond is among the Seattle & Northwest Connect CRE 2025 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
