Brings close to 25 years of experience to her role
Has oversight of the $82-million renovation of Chicago’s Lawson House
As Walker & Dunlop’s Vice President of Compliance, Affordable Housing, Norma Choza-Sanchez is responsible for overseeing Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) compliance across the organization’s entire portfolio, bringing nearly 25 years of experience to her role.
One of Choza-Sanchez’s projects involves oversight of the $82-million Lawson House investment. The 24-story Art Deco building in Chicago, originally constructed as a YMCA, is being preserved and transformed into 409 studio apartments for individuals with special needs or those at risk of homelessness.
Choza-Sanchez has been a leader in the WD Unidos Employee Resource Group (ERG) since its inception. She also designed and led a multi-part Empowerment Campaign for ERG members.
In the community, Choza-Sanchez is actively involved with Community Coalition (COCO South LA) and La Plaza de Cultura y Artes. She also serves as Director on the Board of Step Forward Communities. Choza-Sanchez has been honored with WD’s Walker Way, Unidos and Years of Service awards.
These are just a few reasons Norma Choza-Sanchez is among the National Connect CRE 2025 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
