Estelle Chan serves as Senior Director of Development at Fairstead, a national real estate firm that creates and preserves high-quality affordable housing. The company has a portfolio of more than 25,000 affordable homes across 28 states.

As a key member of Fairstead’s national acquisition and development team, Chan leads complex, high-impact transactions that deliver long-term affordability, sustainability and transformative community benefits.

During her tenure with the company, she has led the acquisition and development of over 3,000 affordable apartments nationwide, totaling $600 million in transaction volume. Projects include the acquisition and renovation of New Jersey’s Essex Plaza Campus. Chan also oversaw the $69.7-million acquisition and $17.7-million rehabilitation of South Florida’s 176-unit Lauderhill Point.

She is a member of CREW’s Coastal Virginia chapter, where she championed an annual donation drive to collect groceries, toiletries, and household goods to benefit residents at the Virginia properties she oversees. Chan is also an active member of Women in Housing and Finance (WHF) and NYSAFAH 2G.

Chan received the New York Women Executives in Real Estate Award.
