Co-founded Apprise’s Financial Reporting practice

Led valuation support for over $20 billion in transactions

As Managing Director & Financial Reporting Practice Co-Lead, Adriane Bookwalter leads Apprise’s financial reporting valuation work, delivering purchase price allocations (business combinations), net asset valuations, and fair value measurements of debt and equity for periodic and transactional reporting.

Bookwalter co-founded Apprise’s Financial Reporting practice a year after the firm’s inception and has been instrumental in building the team, standards and workflows that support enterprise-grade reporting for clients.

Over the past five years, Bookwalter led valuation and advisory support for more than $20 billion in transactions—spanning portfolio acquisitions, recapitalizations and recurring quarter-end reporting programs on behalf of publicly traded REITs, Fortune 500 companies, banks, insurance companies, pension funds and private sponsors. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (Illinois) and earned the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.

Bookwalter serves on Apprise’s steering committee and is actively involved with Women of Walker programming. She also regularly develops and delivers internal training programs on financial reporting valuation. Additionally, she mentors associates and emerging leaders, sharing best practices.

When realizing that financial-reporting valuation was under-recognized by legacy designation frameworks, Bookwalter convened a cross-firm coalition to engage the Colorado licensing board and the Appraisal Institute. She translated that advocacy into internal teach-ins and mentorship for associates and emerging leaders, expanding awareness and capability in a niche that’s critical to enterprise-grade reporting.

These are just a few reasons Adriane Bookwalter is among the Chicago & Midwest Connect CRE 2025 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
