Miles Drinkwalter
Has closed more than $5.75 billion in multifamily and commercial transactions nationwide
Member of the DC Real Estate Group, a 40-and-under organization
Miles Drinkwalter is a Senior Director on Berkadia’s Mortgage Banking platform, where he arranges debt and equity on behalf of multifamily and commercial real estate investors across the country. During his career, Drinkwalter has closed more than $5.75 billion in multifamily and commercial transactions throughout the U.S. He joined Berkadia in May of 2021 and was promoted to Senior Director in 2024.
An example of Drinkwalter’s high-level execution was his role in the 2024 financing and sale of Marlowe Apartments, a 162-unit, high-rise multifamily property in Arlington, VA. His team ran an extensive debt marketing process tailored to fit the client’s unique business plan, ultimately securing $40.6 million in acquisition financing on behalf of the buyer, D.C.-based The FORTIS Companies. The asset’s prime location next to Amazon HQ2, combined with the sponsor’s thoughtful value-add renovation plan, generated significant lender interest.
Drinkwalter is involved with Apartment Life, a faith-based nonprofit geared toward improving the lives of tenants in apartment communities. He is also a member of the DC Real Estate Group, a 40-and-under organization focused on developing future leaders of the real estate industry in the greater Washington, D.C. region.
These are just a few reasons we chose Miles Drinkwalter as one of Connect CRE’s Washington D.C. & Mid-Atlantic 2025 Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
