Handles acquisition strategy for the firm’s 7 million-square-foot national portfolio

With the team, oversaw Denholtz’s first South Carolina real estate industrial buy

As Vice President of Acquisitions at Denholtz, Shane Omundsen leads acquisition strategy and execution across the firm’s national portfolio, which spans more than 7 million square feet and is valued at over $2 billion. Working closely with Mark Mahasky, Senior Vice President and Head of Acquisitions, Omundsen oversees all underwriting and drives the pursuit and execution of strategic real estate acquisitions.

Omundsen and his team recently handled the acquisition of the 20/21 Business Center. The three-building, 98,000-square-foot multi-tenant flex industrial portfolio deal was Denholtz’s first in South Carolina.

While earning his master’s degree at NYU’s Schack Institute of Real Estate, Omundsen received the Urban Leadership Scholarship for academic excellence and community involvement. He also worked with the NYU Urban Lab, a research center focused on real estate development and inclusive urban growth.

He is an active member of NAIOP’s New Jersey Chapter and supports the next generation of real estate professionals as a mentor through NYU Schack’s Alumni Mentorship Program. Omundsen has also been a teaching assistant with Rutgers University’s commercial real estate courses.

These are just a few reasons we chose Shane Omundsen as one of Connect CRE’s National 2025 Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
