As Co-Chair of Akerman’s Construction Practice, John Neary leads a team of more than 30 construction attorneys and professionals. He represents owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals in critical infrastructure projects, as well as renewable and conventional power generation facilities, energy storage systems, and digital infrastructure, including data centers.
Recent notable matters include representing Quantica Infrastructure LLC in the development of power generation facilities that support data center builds in Montana. Neary has an ongoing relationship with Switch Inc. in the construction of new data centers across the United States.
He is a dedicated mentor, a Fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America (CLSA) and an engaged member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Bar Association Section of Public Contract Law, the ABA Forum on the Construction Industry, and the Board of Contract Appeals Bar Association.
