Negotiated a 99-year Affordable Housing Covenant to preserve affordability

Assisted a JV in securing close to $33 million in financing for townhome construction

Jennifer Jette is a member of the Real Estate and Commercial Transactions groups at Friedlander Misler. Her practice centers on advising clients across complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, joint venture agreements, and leasing matters.

Notable matters include participation in Horning’s acquisition of the Plaza Towers multifamily property in Hyattsville, MD. Jette negotiated a 99-year Affordable Housing Covenant to preserve long-term affordability in the region.

She helped a joint venture secure $22 million in acquisition, development, and financing, as well as $10.9 million in construction financing for the first phase of townhome construction in Bethesda, MD.

Jette spearheaded a strategic initiative to formalize the firm’s marketing and business development approach, resulting in measurable client expansion and an enhanced market presence.

She has served on Cornerstone Montgomery’s board and recently helped prevent a tax foreclosure on one of the nonprofit’s properties. Jette is also an engaged member of the Apartment and Office Building Association.

These are some of the reasons why Jennifer Jette received Connect CRE’s 2025 Washington DC & Mid-Atlantic Lawyers in Real Estate Award. The award celebrates real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice and the larger community.
