Craig Ganz

Craig Ganz is Co-Leader of the Non-Bank Lending Team in Ballard Spahr’s Banking and Financial Services Industry Group. He works in real property, retail/restaurant/hospitality law, as well as finance/banking law, counseling clients on asset acquisitions and dispositions.

He helps dealmakers navigate both distressed and organic markets, while also being involved with significant bankruptcy restructuring matters and trial work on the state and federal levels. Ganz focuses his efforts on assisting clients with distressed asset workouts on the banking and real estate side. He is also involved with litigation and reorganization activities.

Ganz actively manages the national bankruptcy and litigation portfolios of several publicly traded REITs and private equity clients. He also represents creditors’ committees and counsels clients on issues related to receivership.

In addition, Ganz provides education, conducting in-house training for finance departments to eliminate or reduce insolvency risk.

These are some of the reasons why Craig Ganz received Connect CRE’s 2025 Phoenix & Southwest Lawyers in Real Estate Award. The award celebrates real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice and the larger community.
