Represented client in a multifamily recapitalization totaling $105 million

Advised a client on the $115 million loan for an industrial portfolio

Steve Gliatta, co-chair of Arnold & Porter’s Real Estate practice, has spent his entire career – more than three decades – at the firm. Under his leadership, Arnold & Porter’s Real Estate practice has evolved into a specialized boutique within the larger firm.

Gliatta’s clients include global financial institutions and private capital funds, and he serves as the relationship partner for some of the firm’s largest real estate finance clients. He represents senior lenders, mezzanine lenders, servicers and special servicers in the workout and restructuring of large commercial real estate loans across commercial property types.

His notable matters include representing Affinius Capital in the $105-million recapitalization of Sven, a 958-unit multifamily property in Long Island City. He also advised Argentic Real Estate Investment LLC in the $115-million financing of a 10-property industrial portfolio consisting of warehouse and light industrial assets totaling 1.9 million square feet.

Gliatta is a member of the CRE Finance Council, serving on its Legal Advisory Committee. He has been ranked by Best Lawyers, Chambers USA, Legal 500 US, and the Lexology Index.

These are some of the reasons why Stephen Gliatta received Connect CRE’s 2025 National Lawyers in Real Estate Award. The award celebrates real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice and the larger community.
