J. Edmund Mullin
Is the chair of the Commonwealth’s Joint State Government Commission
Has practiced law for over 40 years
J. Edmund Mullin co-chairs the Real Estate and Land Use Department of Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin. Over his 40-year practice, Mullin has established a reputation in municipal and land-use law. He represents Fortune 500 companies and emerging businesses across various industries, including oil and gas production, pharmaceuticals, and retail.
Mullin is Chairman of the Joint State Government Commission’s Advisory Committee on Real Property Law, which is charged with rewriting the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s real estate laws. He has served as a board member and president of the Montgomery Bar Association (MBA). He is a past chair of the MBA’s Community Outreach Committee and a past President of the Montgomery Bar Foundation.
Mullin is also active in the Pennsylvania Bar Association, where he is a member of the Pennsylvania Judicial Evaluation Commission. He is a member of the Legal Action Network for Development Strategies (LANDS), a group of approximately 200 attorneys nationwide that work with the National Association of Home Builders.
In the community, Mullin is on the board at Mercy Career & Technical High School. He is a retired member of the Board of Consultors of Villanova University School of Law, the former Chairman of Saint Mary’s Board and served on the Board of Trustees of Montgomery County Community College for two decades.
Mullin has been honored with the Muhlenberg Award for Leadership from the Historical Society of Trappe and was named to the Hall of Fame of the Homebuilders Association of Bucks and Montgomery Counties. He has been consistently designated a Philadelphia Magazine Super Lawyer.
