Represented client in a multifamily platform investment

Advised on debt restructuring involving multifamily and retail portfolios

Ryan McCaffrey is a partner with Adler & Stachenfeld. He handles all areas of real estate law, from “white shoe” matters such as acquisitions, capital raising, joint ventures, and structured finance (including pref and mezz) to “hard hat” matters like development and construction. At Adler & Stachenfeld, he represents owners, developers, and capital sources.

Notable transactions include representing a client in closing a multifamily platform investment used to capitalize multiple development assets. He also advised on debt restructuring involving various multifamily and retail portfolios, as well as closing a phased construction loan for a 700-unit, Class A multifamily development.

McCaffrey has spent over a decade as an adjunct professor at the University of Notre Dame and the University of Pennsylvania. He developed, implemented and continues to teach classes about partnership structures and other real estate/private equity basics.

He also founded and serves on the Board of the Paul Robeson Chess Club, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing chess and life counseling for at-risk youth. Additionally, McCaffrey is on the Board of the French International School of Philadelphia.

These are some of the reasons why Ryan McCaffrey received Connect CRE’s 2025 National Lawyers in Real Estate Award. The award celebrates real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice and the larger community.
