As a partner with Morrison Foerster, Joshua Pierce leads the real estate practice in the firm’s Boston office. His practice encompasses acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and joint ventures across various asset classes, including office, multifamily, hotel, industrial, condominium, and land development. He manages a team of associates handling sophisticated, multi-jurisdictional transactions.

Pierce’s recent matters include representing PCCP in closing a total of $245 million in mortgage financing for industrial properties in Florida and Pennsylvania. Throughout 2025, he has represented PCCP on multiple loan workouts and restructuring matters.

He also represented CIBC in securing $53 million in mortgage financing connected with the Mandarin Oriental Retail condominium unit in the Prudential Center complex in Boston.

He is an active contributor to firm inclusion initiatives, attorney recruiting and pro bono efforts. He supports several civic and professional organizations and frequently participates in panels and seminars within the real estate industry.

Pierce co-chairs MoFo’s Boston Pro Bono Committee, which provides pro bono work for nonprofits such as Embrace Boston and the Equitable School Partnerships of Boston. Best Lawyers in America has recognized him.

These are some of the reasons why Joshua Pierce received Connect CRE’s 2025 Boston & New England Lawyers in Real Estate Award. The award celebrates real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice and the larger community.
