Jill Casson Owen is a partner at Snell & Wilmer’s Tucson office. She advises public and private entities and individual clients on a variety of federal, state and local regulatory compliance matters.

Her practice includes the purchase and sale of real property, lease transactions for commercial, retail and industrial properties, and transactions relating to the development of the real property, subdivision and condominium development, condominium conversions, subdivision public report applications, drafting CCRs and other related documents, fraternity and sorority student housing and REITs.

Notable activities included representing developers of student housing, shopping centers and mixed-use properties, including one of the highest per-square-foot purchase and sale transactions in Southern Arizona history. She also represented developers in acquiring, developing and operating residential and mixed-use condominiums, advising on various aspects of the Arizona Condominium Act.

Owen serves on the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group Leadership Team. She is a member of the firm’s Ethics Committee, the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, the Practice of Law Committee, and the Legal Professionals Committee. She was previously the Chair of the Community Involvement Committee for the firm’s Tucson office, where she led the fundraising and volunteer efforts for nonprofits that the office has supported over the years.

In the community, she has served on the Beacon Group board of directors, chaired the Northwest YWCA board of managers, was President of the Chi Omega Fraternity’s Zeta Beta Chapter and was a board member of the Tucson Adult Soccer League.

Owen has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America in Land Use and Zoning Law and Real Estate Law. She was a finalist in Inside Tucson Business’s Women of Influence, was recognized as Lawyer of the Month with the Volunteer Lawyer’s Program of Southern Arizona Legal Aid and was honored with a Snell & Wilmer Community Involvement Award and a Snell & Wilmer Pro Bono Award.
