Led team in Pennsylvania Real Estate Trust’s financial and corporate restructuring

As a DLA Piper partner, Stacy Osmond’s practice involves joint venture and real estate investment, development, leasing, financing, acquisitions and dispositions. She also handles the real estate aspects of corporate mergers and acquisitions. She was promoted to partner in 2022.

She represents developers and investors in all aspects of real estate development and investment transactions, including advising on joint venture formation, transaction strategy, purchase agreements, due diligence and financing. In addition, Stacy also represents borrowers, financial institutions and investors in general secured real estate financings.

Recent activities include representing a real estate owner, operator and developer in selling and recapitalizing a 12-asset industrial property portfolio. Osmond also advised on the company’s strategic reorganization and led negotiations on joint venture documents.

Osmond also led the real estate team in a financial and corporate restructuring of Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (now PREIT Realty), which reduced the company’s total debt by approximately $835 million.

This is why Stacy Osmond received Connect CRE’s 2024 Chicago & Midwest Lawyers in Real Estate Award. The award celebrates real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice and the larger community.
