Represented buyer in a $443-million acquisition of 701 Brickell
Worked with a hotel developer on obtaining two financing deals
Sam Alavi is a partner with Paul Hastings. In this role, he advises some of the world’s largest private equity funds, sovereign wealth funds, and investment platforms on complex real estate transactions across the U.S. These transactions span development, acquisition/disposition, finance, and joint venture structures in key U.S. markets.
Recent achievements include representing Morning Calm Management’s $443-million acquisition of 701 Brickell, a Class AA building in Miami’s financial district. He also led two major financing deals for CitizenM Hotels, including portfolio financing of four U.S. hotels.
Alavi is a member of the Milken Institute Chairman’s Circle and is the executive director of the United States and Gulf Corporation Development Council. He is an adjunct professor at the University of California’s Sol Price School of Public Policy.
