Lisa Kolieb is a partner in Akerman’s Real Estate Practice Group. She leads the Los Angeles office’s Real Estate Practice Team, comprised of nine attorneys and land use professionals.

She works with clients on land use and real estate development transactions, representing them in the commercial, residential, hospitality, industrial and nonprofit sectors. Kolieb also provides guidance on regulatory, environmental, political, and technical issues involved with California’s real estate development and transactions, including environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).

Kolieb regularly advises Madison Realty Capital on land use entitlements and due diligence for California residential and mixed-use project loans. She also represents Hawkins Way Capital, a real estate development firm focused on multi-family and hospitality projects throughout California. Kolieb frequently participates in real estate industry panel discussions, seminars and conferences.

She spearheaded the integration of Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles (OBKLA) into Akerman, offering pro-bono legal services and instilling a culture of community engagement throughout the entire Los Angeles office. Kolieb also leads a pro-bono team assisting with LGBTQ bridge housing projects through Universal Stress Free Zones. In addition, Kolieb volunteers with organizations like Camp Ramah and Moshava Alevy.

The Legal 500 listed Kolieb in the Real Estate: Land Use/Zoning category. The Los Angeles Business Journal has also recognized her as a Women of Influence: Attorneys category and by Bisnow Southern Women Leading Real Estate in the “Brokerage, Client Services, Advisory, Consulting, Law” category.
