Joshua Kamin
Known for his market-leading transactions and efficient platform design
Played a lead role in GE Capital Real Estate’s equity and investment platform
Joshua Kamin is a nationally recognized private equity lawyer who focuses on the real estate industry. He specializes in equity transactions, including joint ventures, recapitalizations, restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions and borrower-side financings for domestic and non-US clients.
He is known for spearheading market-leading transactions, designing efficient platforms and programmatic relationships, and providing essential insight for C-suite leadership.
Kamin played lead roles in some of the most important real estate industry transactions over the last decade, both on a national scale (such as the sale of GE Capital Real Estate’s real estate equity and investment platform) and within the Southeastern United States (such as the acquisition and redevelopment of Turner Field in Atlanta, Georgia).
Kamin is a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL), former Chair of the ACREL Equity Investment Structures Committee and Vice Chair of the Acquisitions Committee. He is recognized by Chambers USA as a Band 1 lawyer and by The Best Lawyers in America. Reed is an active community leader, serving as a trustee of the Woodruff Arts Center and board member of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Atlanta Police Foundation, Central Atlanta Progress, and Camp Twin Lakes.
These are some of the reasons why Joshua Kamin received Connect CRE’s 2024 Atlanta & Southeast Lawyers in Real Estate Award. The award celebrates real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice and the larger community.
