Became first female executive to join Matthews' board
Led development of proprietary maketing platform APOLLO
As Matthews Real Estate Investment Services vice president of marketing, Lori Valencia oversees a national team of over 50 marketing professionals. In addition to management duties, she continuously builds and scales her current time. At Matthews, she created new teams for corporate marketing, marketing analytics, and property marketing.
Valencia has close to a decade of experience in the commercial real estate field, during which she has effectively overseen the production and delivery of marketing efforts for assets valued at billions of dollars. Her marketing innovation and leadership prowess garnered recognition within and beyond real estate. Her elevation to an executive role in 2021 meant she became the first female executive to join the Matthews board. During the past three years, she rose from marketing manager to director of marketing and is now vice president.
Under her guidance, Matthews solidified its position as a commercial real estate marketing frontrunner. Collaborating with social media content creators, videographers and marketing analysts, Valencia has curated compelling and distinctive content.
Valencia carved out career paths for several people at Matthews, helping them grow and mentoring them into management positions. For example, she established a marketing internship initiative introducing young professionals to the potential career paths within commercial real estate. She also created several technology and marketing tools to assist agents and employees, leading the development of APOLLO, a proprietary marketing platform.
