Sasha Fitzgerald
Worked on more than 400 leases and renewals since joining RMR Group in 2019
Serves as RMR's representative for City Awake
Sasha Fitzgerald, Associate General Counsel of The RMR Group, brings a diverse perspective and approach to RMR’s legal team through her prior experience outside of the real estate industry. This includes her job as a patent and trademark paralegal before attending law school.
Since joining RMR in 2019, Fitzgerald has worked on more than 400 leases and renewals. Since each deal is slightly different, she employs her negotiation skills to find solutions that achieve business objectives while also protecting RMR from a legal standpoint. She enjoys the teamwork required to execute each lease and the satisfaction of closing a deal that is particularly challenging to negotiate.
Fitzgerald leveraged business challenges presented by the pandemic as an opportunity for professional growth. She worked with tenants across RMR’s national portfolio to address requests for rent relief and related issues. With more than 30 offices across RMR’s platform, she established key relationships with employees in other locations as well as RMR’s network of local counsel.
She also became a point person regarding compliance with evolving public health requirements across different locations, enabling RMR’s management offices to remain open so that it could be responsive to its tenants, including medical and government tenants.
Fitzgerald is currently enrolled in the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s (GBCC’s) Women’s Leadership Program following her completion of RMR’s Accelerated Women in Leadership Program. She also serves as RMR’s representative on City Awake, GBCC’s Young Professionals Network advisory board
These are just a few reasons we chose Sasha Fitzgerald as one of Connect CRE Boston & New England’s 2023 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s seventh annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
