Yesenia Rua
Oversaw rollout of emergency rental assistance program during the COVID pandemic
Received a "Yesenia Rua Day" proclamation from the city of Sweetwater, FL
As a seasoned professional in property management, Yesenia Rua has left her mark on both the teams she manages and the Resia (formerly AHS Residential) community members she serves. As Operations Manager, Property Management, Rua has more than 20 years of experience in multifamily property management and stabilization of properties in tax credit, Section 8, senior and conventional residential communities. Her passion is serving communities that need her support, with skills that include listening and communicating, while being proactive and involved, current and knowledgeable.
She has also been involved with four of Resia’s recent property sales, totaling more than 5,000 units at a $188-million sales volume. The proceeds will be directed to acquiring new land on which to build more multifamily units.
Rua’s approach to residential real estate and property management aligns with Resia’s mission to provide attainably-priced, high quality housing to as many working-class families as possible. She joined Resia in July 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and during one of the most difficult periods for rent-burdened Americans. During this time, Rua oversaw the rollout of Resia’s emergency rental assistance program, which provided over $300K in funds for qualifying residents who needed the extra help in covering their monthly rent.
Rua holds Certified Apartment Manager (ARM), Certified Community Association Manager (CAM), Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) and Landlord Tenant Legal certifications. She also received a proclamation naming July 12, 2021 “Yesenia Rua Day” from the City of Sweetwater in Florida for her efforts and dedication to resident care.
