Kate Shoss
Plans, implements and communicates the company's strategic efforts
Serves as Co-Chair of Bulfinch's DEI and Sustainability committees
In her role as Senior Vice President and Director of Marketing at The Bulfinch Companies, Kate Shoss is responsible for strengthening the awareness of the Bulfinch brand and its 4-million-square-foot, $3.6-billion property portfolio. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Shoss plays a key role in contributing to Bulfinch’s portfolio and team.
She has been instrumental in planning, implementing and communicating Bulfinch’s strategic planning efforts, including oversight of Bulfinch’s rebrand, launched in conjunction with the firm’s relocation from Needham to Boston in 2018. Recognizing the important link between communication and technology, Shoss spearhead the implementation of new technologies and platforms to improve Bulfinch’s communications. Initiatives included the addition of the HqO Tenant Engagement App, BlueShare Intranet, Salesforce Database and Sharepoint.
Shoss is a member of Bulfinch’s Technology and Asset Management Committees and serves as Co-Chair of both Bulfinch’s newly formed Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Sustainability Committees. Recent accomplishments include the increase of women and minority in Senior Leadership from 0% in 2019 to 42% in 2022 and Bulfinch’s support of CREW Network’s Pledge for Action to support women and DE+I with a focus on Pay Equity. Shoss also help establish Bulfinch’s ESG goals and communication to stakeholders and community partners.
She is actively involved in numerous real estate industry organizations including NAIOP, CREW, ULI, SMPS and REFA. Shoss is a member of the ULI New England’s Women’s Leadership Council and a member of CREW’s Golf Committee. In the community, she is an ambassador for Building Impact and is a board member of the Arlington Soccer Club.
