Named one of "Nashville's Power Players" and "Most Admired CEO"

Janet Miller joined Colliers Nashville as CEO and Market Leader in September 2014, following 21 years as Chief Economic Development Officer for the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce.

In her position, Miller is responsible for strategy, business and brand development, talent development, and all operations for the Colliers Nashville office. Colliers Nashville houses Nashville’s largest commercial real estate brokerage team, with 41 brokers, and achieved a 2021 transaction volume of over $1 billion.

While with the Nashville Chamber of Commerce, Miller led the effort to recruit new companies to the region, while working with existing companies on retention and expansion projects. She worked on job-creation projects with more than 400 corporations including Asurion, HCA, Beretta, Mars Petcare, Nissan, Bridgestone, Dell, BNY Mellon and UBS.

Miller is also deeply involved in many community initiatives, including roles as Vice Chair of the Metropolitan Transit Authority, Chair of the Nashville Entrepreneur Center board of directors, chair of the Nashville’s Agenda Steering Committee and past-President of the Rotary Club of Nashville.

She has been named as one of “Nashville’s Power Players” by Nashville Post Magazine; and has been named to the Nashville Business Journal’s “Power 100,” “Most Admired CEOs” and “Top 40 Commercial Real Estate Executives” rankings. She is the recipient of the Distinguished Alumna (Nashville Public Education Foundation), the Spirit of Nashville Award (T.J. Martell Foundation) and the Fred H. Harris Award (Tennessee Economic Development Council).
