David Shirazi
Involved with more than 7 million square feet of lease transactions since 2013
Part of a team recognized as NAIOP runner-up for Office Brokerage Team of the Year
President of Denver Active 20/30 Foundation
David Shirazi was promoted to the position of Senior Vice President in 2021, making him the youngest at JLL to achieve that title. Since joining the company in 2013, Shirazi has been involved in lease transactions totaling nearly 7 million square feet.
Shirazi specializes in strategic real estate consulting and tenant representation. A background in finance combined with an innovative and strategic approach allows Shirazi to provide his clients with insight and direction leading to successful transactions.
Shirazi is also responsible for training new brokers in JLL’s Denver office, and leads the Real Estate 101 and 102 classes on an annual basis. His work in revamping JLL’s Denver training program was a huge success, resulting in his appointment to lead JLL’s nationwide training program
Shirazi and teammates Ken Gooden and Eric Brynestad were recognized by NAIOP as runner up for Office Brokerage Team of the Year in 2020. He has served on the Denver Metro Chamber’s Public Affairs Committee since 2014 and is a graduate of Impact Denver Class of 2015. He is heavily involved with the annual Colorado Venture Summit which brings more than over 150 venture capitalists and technology industry CEOs to help promote funding for the state’s start-up tech community. Shirazi authored several op-eds for real estate-facing publications such as the Colorado Real Estate Journal.
His election as President of the Denver Active 20/30 Children’s Foundation and his appointment to the board of the Colorado I Have a Dream Foundation are clear indicators of how his peers and the community perceives his leadership in a philanthropic setting. His personal fundraising of over $85,000 in 2021 and 20/30’s record fundraising year under his leadership are a testament to his community commitment. During the COVID quarantine period, Shirazi and his wife Kelsey volunteered to foster dogs through A Friend of Jack Rescue; he loved all of them!
These are just a few reasons we chose Shirazi as one of Phoenix/Southwest’s 2022 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s sixth annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.
