With team, closed 1,721 units and $256 million in sales volume

Focuses on small, independent apartment owners

In 2018, commercial real estate broker and ABI Multifamily Vice President Carson Griesemer followed his passion for entrepreneurship, launching a landscaping company that built on field experience gained while a student at the W. P. Carey School at Arizona State University. Like many entrepreneurs, he learned that not every business venture pans out, and thanks to ASU connections, eventually arriving at ABI Multifamily. In 2021, Griesemer and his team closed 104 transactions, totaling 1,721 units and $256 million in sales volume.

Griesemer’s niche is “ma-and-pa” apartment owners who don’t own much real estate, and who are living off the rental income generated by 20- to 30-unit buildings they might have owned for years. Griesemer likes to work with these landlords about the sales process, how it works, and what it entails. He enjoys helping these individuals reap the fruits of the labors after years of hard work, maintenance and upkeep.

These are just a few reasons we chose Griesemer as one of Phoenix/Southwest’s 2022 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s sixth annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.
