Oversees loan portfolio that exceeds expectations, leads a successful team

Took steps to improve tracking and monitoring systems for portfolios

Serves with the Chicago Center for Economic Progress and as a Project Money coach

In her role as Alliant Credit Union’s Supervisor, Portfolio Management, Gabriella Balderrama has a proactive approach to her daily responsibilities. The result is a loan portfolio that exceeds performance expectations, while duly meeting the watchful eyes of internal examiners and auditors.

She leads a successful team at Alliant, achieving outstanding performance, while protecting the integrity of the investments for members. Additionally, Balderrama has taken independent action in seeking and securing efficiencies throughout Alliant’s commercial real estate loan management operations, including numerous undertakings to improve tracking and monitoring systems that efficiently report on and manage a large portfolio of real estate loans.

On a community level, Balderrama is involved with the Chicago Center for Economic Progress, as well as serving as a financial coach on Project Money, a program geared to increase financial literacy and debt reduction. She is also a member of the Chicago Real Estate Finance Forum.

These are just a few reasons we chose Balderrama as one of Chicago/Midwest’s 2022 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s sixth annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.
