Will Adjorlolo
Revamped RMR's accounting system to seamlessly handle $32 billion in AUM
Owned the financial consideration for the $4-billion acquisition of the Monmouth Real Estate Investment Corp.
As Senior Manager, Property Accounting of The RMR Group, Will Adjorlolo’s strength involves distilling complex information for his team members, setting them up for success. In his five years with RMR, Will has trained more than 20 accountants.
When implementing the Yardi Fixed Asset tool, he revamped the accounting system used to manage RMR’s then $32 billion in assets under management, including testing, developing training guides and establishing internal controls.
Adjorlolo has also played an integral part in some of RMR’s largest recent transactions. He volunteered to own the financial consideration for the $4-billion acquisition of Monmouth Real Estate Investment Corporation, RMR’s largest transaction to date.
His capacity to build trust with and motivate different personalities drives his influence within the accounting department and beyond. As a people manager, he is an active listener who guides rather than directs, encouraging his teammates to build their critical thinking skillsets.
He recently took a different managerial approach with a colleague who struggled to produce high-quality financial statement information. After dedicating one-on-one time in an effort to understand her strengths, weaknesses and needs, Adjorlolo provided a bespoke training route that helped her become a better accountant.
These are just a few reasons we chose Adjorlolo as one of Boston/New England’s 2022 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s sixth annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.
