A champion of diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in real estate
Michael Fallon, CEO, is responsible for developing and executing he company’s growth strategy, as well as its investment plan and national real estate portfolio. He was promoted to his current position in early 2022. He has been with the company, in various leadership positions, since 2012.
Since his appointment as The Fallon Company president in 2019, Michael Fallon has served as the architect of the company’s long-term strategy, resulting in a significantly expanded real estate portfolio. This involved extending operations in three major U.S. markets (Raleigh, NC, Charlotte, NC and Nashville) and the acquisition of several, large-scale projects in key, STEM-based markets. These included the mixed-use, destination location Raleigh Crossing in Raleigh and Centre South, a redevelopment of a 16.7-acre site near Charlotte’s central business district.
Fallon’s approach to creating workplaces and neighborhoods of the future has positioned TFC to build a current project pipeline of more than $3 billion, representing more than 2.5 million square feet of real estate.
Fallon also strives to make a difference for the commercial real estate industry and the communities that TFC serves. He is a champion of expanded diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in the industry. TFC partnered with Street2Ivy in 2021 to launch a Boston-based real estate youth entrepreneurship program to equip young people with the skills, knowledge and mentors to participate in real estate investing.
The free program offers a robust curriculum of real estate fundamentals and business practices for Boston youth ages 16-19 to help support a more diverse talent pipeline for the industry. Fallon, who actively participated in the program, anticipates expanding it to other markets in which TFC operates.
These are just a few reasons we chose Fallon as one of Boston/New England’s 2022 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s sixth annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.
