Gina Gonzalez is the economic development director for the city of Menifee. She has been an integral piece to the city’s development. In this role, Gonzalez oversees the operations and strategies of the office of economic development under the direction of the city manager’s office.
She is skilled in top-level city projects, programs and overseeing multiple departments including but not limited to land acquisitions and conveyances, building and construction management, facility needs assessments, animal and code control issues, development services and key high-profile project resolution, community services, events, maintenance, development agreements, key election measures, communication and crisis outreach strategies, and city-wide marketing strategies and initiatives.
Gonzalez consistently works to develop change in her city, and has been instrumental in the influx of a soccer stadium, sit-down restaurants, a hotel and major attractions in her city. From hosting commercial broker events to spur development, there have been more than 10 escrows closed during COVID including the acquisition of more than 13 million square feet of industrial space.
Lisa Brown has decades of experience in corporate communications and marketing management with organizations including Coldwell Banker Residential, Grubb & Ellis, Marcus & Millichap, NAIOP, SIOR and ALM.
In those positions, she worked in conjunction with chief executive officers and chief marketing officers to create corporate messaging, cohesive branding standards, strategic marketing plans and thought pieces. Brown is a frequent speaker at industry events and an editing adjunct professor for an online course. She has a master’s degree in mass communications from San Jose State University.
