Maria Blake Leads Portfolio Strategy and Repositioning for Columbia Property Trust
Maria Blake, vice president of real estate at Columbia Property Trust, oversees asset management across much of the firm’s national portfolio. This includes properties in New York, New Jersey, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Boston. She directs leasing, financial analysis and strategic operations while coordinating with joint venture partners, internal teams and outside consultants on financing, repositioning and business plans.
She joined Columbia through its 2020 acquisition of Normandy Real Estate Partners and has steadily expanded her responsibilities over the past decade.
Her recent accomplishments include helping secure Versant Media Group’s 84,509-square-foot expansion at 229 W. 43rd St. in Times Square. At 1800 M Street in Washington, D.C., Blake paired in-house leasing with an amenity repositioning that helped generate more than 242,000 square feet of leases over two years, bringing occupancy to 83%. In Boston, she represented Columbia on 43,000 square feet of leases tied to a new tenant amenity center at 116 Huntington Avenue, followed by six additional leases totaling 50,000 square feet.
She mentors colleagues and interns at Columbia and volunteers with God’s Love We Deliver, Church of the Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen and City Harvest. She also supports local organizations through toy and food drives.
These are just a few reasons Maria Blake is among the New York & Tri-State Connect CRE 2026 Women in Real Estate Award winners. The award honors the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
