Morgan Properties Acquires $501 Million Trilogy Multifamily Portfolio
Morgan Properties acquired an 11-property multifamily portfolio from Trilogy Real Estate Group for $501 million, adding 3,054 apartment units across eight states to its portfolio.
The transaction represented an exit strategy for Trilogy, following a decade of operational and physical repositioning. The portfolio generated above-market rent growth and maintained high occupancy during shifting market conditions, supported by Trilogy’s vertically integrated property management platform.
The properties attracted more than 100 offers from multifamily investment firms, signifying strong investor demand for well-positioned assets in the Midwest and other markets with more balanced supply-demand conditions.
Morgan Properties retained the existing property management teams across the portfolio following the acquisition.
These are some of the reasons why the Morgan Properties-Trilogy transaction was selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s AB 100 Transaction of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
