Ivy Energy’s Logan Carter Encourages Solar As A Revenue-Producing Asset

Company:

Ivy Energy

As co-founder and chief commercial officer of Ivy Energy, Logan Carter helped develop a platform that enables solar to serve as a revenue source for multifamily owners and operators. Under the model, owners can monetize distributed energy while providing tenants with transparent savings, creating a financial structure that benefits both sides.

Carter has helped take that concept from individual installations to a portfolio operating model. His commercial leadership helped establish relationships with major multifamily players, including Greystar and AvalonBay Communities. He also helped develop partnerships with technology platforms, including Arcadia, RealPage, Entrata and Yardi.

Carter is a prominent industry educator, speaking at CREtech and participating in NMHC, NAA, IMN and Greenbuild events and discussions.

His work has garnered significant recognition from the San Diego Business Journal. Ivy Energy’s Virtual Grid technology also received the Edison Award and Solar Power World Best in Show recognition. These are some of the reasons why Logan Carter was selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s AB 100 Innovators of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
