GREA Partners Brown and Wellar Close $9 Billion in Multifamily Deals
GREA founding partners Taylor Brown and Ken Wellar have more than four decades of combined multifamily experience and a track record spanning more than $9 billion in transactions involving more than 133,000 apartment units.
Brown began his career with Brown Realty Advisors, where he participated in the sale of more than 100,000 units representing over $5 billion in transaction volume. After the company became part of GREA in 2022, Brown co-founded the national brokerage platform and took leadership of its Atlanta office.
Wellar has more than 20 years of multifamily experience and has brokered the sale of more than 33,000 units totaling over $4 billion. His background includes financing, property management and development, giving him a broad perspective on multifamily investment strategies and capital markets.
Both are active in the industry. Wellar is a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council, Urban Land Institute, several state apartment associations, YPO and the Building Industry Association. Brown is a University of Georgia graduate and leads GREA’s Atlanta operation.
These are some of the reasons why Taylor Brown and Ken Wellar were selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s AB 100 Dealmaker of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
