Jonathan Epstein Positions BGO for the Next Cycle
Jonathan Epstein has spent more than 35 years navigating virtually every corner of commercial real estate, from principal investing and finance to investment banking. As managing partner and head of U.S. at BGO, he is responsible for the investment strategy of one of the industry’s largest global platforms.
Epstein oversees BGO’s U.S. operations, leads the firm’s global temperature-controlled logistics investments, and co-leads its U.S. Core Plus platform. Over the course of his career, he has been responsible for the acquisition, development, financing and management of more than $70 billion in commercial real estate assets and companies across the United States, Europe and Asia.
The firm’s platform is expanding as well. BGO’s parent, Sun Life, announced an agreement to acquire multifamily owner/operator Bell Partners, a transaction expected to push BGO’s assets under management above $100 billion and expand its multifamily footprint to more than 40,000 owned units and 70,000 units under management.
These are some of the reasons why Jonathan Epstein was selected to receive ApartmentBuildings.com’s AB 100 Investor/Owner of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multifamily industry.
