Marisa Thompson
Handles acquisitions and high-level budgets, design-team selection and contract negotiation
Has 20 years of industry experience, helped position TFC for growth
As Managing Director, Development for The Fallon Company (TFC), Marisa Thompson is responsible for the supervision and coordination of preconstruction development for the commercial real estate development firm’s Southeast office. Her 20 years of industry experience, combined with her scientific knowledge, Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Resource Management from Penn State, and advice from immigrant parents, have helped position TFC for significant and exponential growth.
Her position requires handling acquisitions and high-level budgets, design-team selection, negotiating contracts, preliminary design process management and oversite of programming, entitlements and permitting. Before joining TFC in 2020, Thompson was employed by The Congress Group, Inc., where she was rewarded with steady promotions.
Thompson is responsible for managing multiple projects, including the $500-million, 16.2-acre mixed-use Centre South in Charlotte’s South End and a $100-million project in Charlotte’s Cotswold neighborhood. Other developments under her purview are the mixed-use Raleigh Crossing.
These are just a few of the reasons we chose Marisa Thompson as one of the Atlanta & Southeast 2022 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
