Volunteers with REFA’s Emerging Leaders Committee and Mentorship Program

In her role as Walker & Dunlop’s Director-Investment Sales, Maggie McFarland is responsible for the origination and execution of multifamily asset transactions, with a primary focus on the New England region. She works closely with clients to facilitate sales and capitalizations. McFarland is a member of Walker & Dunlop’s Market Intelligence Group, where she contributes to the generation and oversight of the firm’s capital markets research and market intelligence publications.

McFarland played a crucial role in the high-profile $212 million sale of AVA Theater District, a downtown Boston high-rise. The property was one of the first major urban core assets marketed in the Boston area after a period of tightening capital markets.

She is highly involved with several Walker & Dunlop initiatives, including organizing and leading analyst cohort calls and launching the company’s Market Intelligence initiative.

McFarland is a member of the Real Estate Finance Association (REFA), where she works with the Boston market’s Emerging Leaders Committee. She also participates in the REFA Mentorship Program.

These are just a few reasons we chose Maggie McFarland as one of Connect CRE’s Boston & New England 2025 Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
