Brett Kilar

Marcus & Millichap Senior Associate Brett Kilar focuses on retail and net-leased property sales across New England. He is a member of The Cohen Group, the top retail team in Marcus & Millichap’s Boston office. Kilar works with private investors, family offices, and institutional clients, offering strategic guidance on pricing, market positioning and long-term portfolio planning.

One recent highlight included the $12.46 million sale of a BJ’s Wholesale Club in Bangor, ME — a single-tenant, net-leased asset. Kilar also led the sale of The Westmeadow Plaza in Westborough, MA; the property sold within 3% of the asking price, a strong result for the client in a shifting market.

Kilar joined Marcus & Millichap in 2020 with no prior commercial real estate experience. Since then, he has been honored with the firm’s Rising Star Award and is a member of the firm’s National Retail and Net Lease Divisions. An ex-professional hockey player, Kilar’s community activities include coaching and volunteer work with Dorchester Youth Hockey.
