Benesch Partner Max Guggenheim serves as the lead counsel for nationwide landlords and tenants in negotiating office, retail, medical, and industrial leases. He advises major office and shopping center owners and operators in negotiations with national tenants, as well as providing counsel to international companies in office leasing throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Recent highlights included representation of a multinational pharmaceutical company in its three major office leases. He also advised a global professional services firm with its nationwide office leasing portfolio. He worked with the nation’s largest nephrology practice in multiple complex lease negotiations and other related matters.

Guggenheim is a member of Benesch’s hiring committee, devoting time to diversity initiatives in recruiting, while mentoring younger associates and summer associates. He also regularly participates in law school corporate and business law events to educate law students on real estate law and leasing practice. He is an active member of the ICSC.
