As a crucial component of Akerman’s Hospitality Sector Team, Jennifer Kramer represents owners, operators, lenders, and developers of hotels, resorts, condominiums, fractional ownership regimes and mixed-use community developments throughout the United States and abroad. She handles matters in the hospitality sector, including hotel management, hotel operations, vacation ownership, licensing, franchising, development, acquisitions and sales.
She was part of the Akerman team that served as legal counsel in the sale of South Motors and Vista Motors’ nine dealerships and two collision centers to Morgan Automotive Group. The transaction ranks among the most valuable dealership groups ever purchased, with the values paid for its BMW and Honda stores believed to exceed any previous values paid for those franchise brands.
Additionally, Kramer was a lead partner in Sage Hospitality’s acquisition of the One Ocean Resort and Spa in Atlantic Beach, Florida (through a joint venture with Aspect Real Estate Group and Corner Lot Development Group) from an affiliate of Ashford Hospitality Trust.
Kramer mentors associates within the hospitality sector team by counseling them on career trajectories and illustrating the intricacies of hospitality transactions. She represents the Akerman Boca Raton office as a member of the firm’s Women Initiative Network (WIN). Outside of Akerman, Kramer actively participates in the Condominium and Planned Development Committee of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Section of the Florida Bar. She is also an active member of the lawyers’ committee at Temple Beth El in Boca Raton.
Kramer has been named a Best Lawyer in Real Estate Law by U.S. News in its 2025 Best Lawyers guide.
